It always strikes me how different stretches of the river Thames have such a varied landscape and feel to them. I’d taken the train to Woolwich and walked up to The O2 at The Greenwich peninsula, catching the clipper to Waterloo. The weather was cold and turned wet halfway back, I can only imagine how much the land and riverscape have changed over the past few hundred years.
Much like histories that have been forgotten and reappear sporadically, objects and jetties along the shoreline that are only visible at low-tide pop up unexpectedly at different spots along the way.
Forgotten points for those arriving and departing, trading and migrating to and from the Capital.
